The Saffron Restaurant does not have a great reputation locally. However I have always found the food to be of a high standard. I don't think that the food is as expensive as rumoured; however the drinks are extortionate which I think is what produces the large bills. However the main failing of the Saffron is the complete lack of atmosphere.

Ive visited this restaurant on a couple of occasions, the food is to a high standard, the only problem is the restaurant is generally quite empty so there is no atmosphere.Weve also used there take away menu and the food was delivered in the time specified,so a good service given.

Set at the end of the high street, its meduim sized restaurant and the only Indian in Highcliffe. Good service and wide range of dishes on the menu to choose from. Atompshere ok, quiet meal out but the bill little bit on the expensive side. Restuarant not that busy even at weekends but does a good take out trade.
My family and I used to visit this restaurant quite often and with my parents owning a guest house very nearby at the time, we would recommend our guests to dine here,so it was quite dissapointing that when on one occassion we were dissatisfied with our meal and sent it back, the owner came over and argued with us. Had he of just replaced it we would probably still dine there now. The Guest house does not recommend this restaurant anymore and due to the unproffesional service he has now lost a lot of business.
