What a lovely place! The ambience hits you straight away in this well designed and well maintained Christchurch restaurant. The menu is amazing for any foodie from vegetarians to meat lovers to those with gluten intolerances! Just fantastic!

Top class food
From the outside the Crooked Beam appears to be a kind of traditional old country style pub. The history of the building is interesting, going back around 300 years, which is brilliantly reflected by the interior decoration, but its status as a top-notch restaurant once you have ordered your food is unquestionable. They were recently awarded an AA rosette for the quality of the food, made with fresh local ingredients and prepared to order. Vegetarians are particularly well catered for with an excellent range on offer (not just vegetables covered in cheese!), and frankly everything on the menu is both exotically interesting and traditionally tasty. A really excellent restaurant.
