A popular family choice

There are not that many restaurants around that offer a wide choice of childrens food and colouring etc so The Harvester always seems to be the most popular choice for families, of course this makes it very busy and during holiday season the wait can be crazy. The food is average but the salad bar is always good. Early bird is cheap and cheerful!

This restauarnt is great if you have a young family.
Its good value with the salad bar for starter and if you take advantage of the early bird menu its even better.
Theres a wide variety on the kids menu.They even give you colouring pencils and book to keep the little ones entertained whilst your waiting for your meal.
Does get very busy at peak periods.

The Cat and Fiddle

Everything you would expect from a Harvester. Go during the Early Bird times and it is good value for money if you're hungry. During the holiday seasons it gets very busy and on occasions it has not been relaxing what so ever.. people up and down to the salad bar, the toilet door opening and closing, noisy children etc. Having said that, much of this depends on where you sit. The children love it.

Family friendly

I have visited this restaurant on several occassions as my children like the salad bar (which i have always found to be fresh and well stocked). It can get too busy during the holidays especially at the time when they offer the early bird menu. The menu is much what you would expect from a harvester, lots of chicken. Not the best food in the world, but fine for the price.
