The Amberwood Inn seems to pride itself on the quality and range of food on offer. The portions are generous and the menu is extremely varied, ranging from traditional pub food to some very interesting fish options and the chefs homemade steak sauce, with the traditional roast being a particular favourite. The interior is surprisingly modern, and they have frequent jazz and music nights that are well worth a look, especially considering you get a full evenings entertainment for no entry fee.

This pub has a comfortable and friendly feel to it. We had a party in here a few years ago and the staff were great, they recommended a good band and the buffet was excellent value for money. The room was just the right size for about 50 people and everyone was up dancing.
A local traditional pub set off the main road, which used to be a coach house. Friendly staff and good lunch menu reasonably priced. Nice and cosy in the winter, as quite dark inside. However no garden so not so good for families in the summer months and no playground. Live music on Friday nights and jazz couple of times a month popular with the locals.
Not a bad little pub to drop in for a quick drink. The live music gets people in, i would say it is more suited to a middle ages crowd. Dogs and children are welcomed, although there isn't anything for children. Some tables and swings outside would draw more families in the summer.

Good old traditional, homely family pub. Live music on friday nights, meat draw on sunday. Children and dogs welcome. Food menu reasonably priced with enough choice to suit all tastes. Only draw back is it is a bit dark and dingy at the bar area on a sunny day, pub could do with a garden.
A lovely pub with friendly staff. At Christmas it has a lovely atmosphere and they have a small brass ensemble play traditional carols and a bit of a sing son. Very nice.
