Today, Wednesday 11/11/09 at 11am The Last Post was sounded followed by a two minute silence.
A relatively small, but sincere gathering of people stood at the entrance to the Quay, by the small memorial stone stood looking in deep reflection, during the two minutes silence....

On the 8th November, at 10am, 21 Air Cadets from 171 Christchurch squadron were freezing cold, yet ready for the parade. The parade stepped off from outside the Royal British Legion on Bargates, led by the Royal British Legion Band.

The new 3G synthetic turf pitches at Two Riversmeet Leisure Complex in Christchurch were baptised when the Mayor of Christchurch, Cllr David Flagg, took the first penalty kick at goal.
