The Christchurch Royal British Legion Band are going from strength to strength. If you were lucky enough to attend their Christmas Concert at the Royal British Legion Club in Bargates recently you will have witnessed the very strong following they are establishing for themselves. It was standing room only at the concert and the band did not fail to please the audience. A superb selection of Christmas concert music such as Sleigh Ride and White Christmas were performed along with a traditional Christmas Sing-along, plus a novelty number "The Stripper", the audience loved this piece so much the band was requested to play it as an encore and their Bugle Major, Blake Harmer "roused" the audience so much that band was drowned out at one point with cheering !
