The Mayor of Christchurch, Cllr David Flagg, is to hold his Mayor’s Concert at the Regent Centre, Christchurch on Monday 1 March at 7.30pm.

The Mayor of Christchurch, Cllr David Flagg, is to hold his Mayor’s Concert at the Regent Centre, Christchurch on Monday 1 March at 7.30pm.
The evening will feature an array of local talent including the band of the Air Training Corps, Highcliffe Choir, Highcliffe Brass Band, La Nova Singers, Taverners Big Band, Light & Shade (a 40’s vocal group) and the Royal British Legion Band.
Music on the programme will have something for everyone from Puccini to Sting and from The Hallelujah Chorus to Blue Moon. The evening will be compered by David Gillard MBE, journalist and long-standing member of Highcliffe Players.
All proceeds from the concert will go to the Mayor’s Charities which this year are Christchurch District Scouts, Christchurch Age Concern and Dorset Crimebeat.
The Mayor said: “I’m delighted to be welcoming such a wide range of local performers, all of whom will be giving their services free of charge. I do hope that people will come along to support the charities and the performers but also to have a really enjoyable evening.”
