Busy day at Stompin on the Quomps

Today was a busy day at the Quomps and the crowds seemed determined to enjoy themselves despite the looming black sky.

The lack of burger bars made a welcome change to an outdoor event with a carefully selected range of foods.

The weather was warm with just one downpour, however things brightened up for the Big Band at 8pm with just a moments drizzle.

There was a good supply of food stalls, not over run by burger bars ! Crepes, Pizza, Do-nuts, Spit Roasted meats and a beer and Pimms Tents made a lovely combination. The Pizza stall reported that by 8pm they had run out of Pizzas and had to get more supplies.

The music, as usual was first rate and people were up on their feet dancing into the evening.

Events like this, in my book, make Christchurch a very nice place to spend time - certainly a place "where time is pleasant"
