Salvation Army Trading Company’s Highcliffe charity shop is holding its annual Christmas extravaganza event from 9am on Thursday 22 November and the team is inviting shoppers to be among the first to snap up the best of the festive bargains.
The shop at 350 Lymington Road will be revealing the cream of its festive gifts and fashions, which the team has been saving up from donations received over the past year. It will also be a chance for customers to see the shop decorated in all its Christmas glory, as the staff and volunteers will be staying behind after the doors shut on Wednesday evening to create the Christmas displays. One hardworking volunteer, Barbara, has already been busy stitching and knitting this year’s window display, which will have a Dickensian Christmas theme. She is generously donating her time and all the materials to help the shop try and equal or better last year’s second place in the Christmas window competition.
