Have you notice since all traffic going down the by pass due to the works on the bridge in Bridge street, that the traffic is free flowing from Stony Lane roundabout into town. Why ! because the lights on the Fountain roundabout are not going red every few mins letting the buses out or into the High Street. The down side is having a bus stop directly on the Fountain Roundabout holding up the traffic from Barrack Rd and Bargates. If this should remain then build a bus layby to keep traffic going. Also being born and breed in the town, those lights on Bridge Street/ Castle Street stupid idea (always thought so since they were done) as in the summer tail backs due to the lights as well as on the Fountain roundabout. Im for public transport but this is a nightmare the traffic lights. Then again a by pass ending in the town, need I say anything on this !!!!!!
