I was asked today on how much do bus companies charge councils for the use of the bus pass ? The reason this person asked the question is because he boards a bus outside Tesco Castle Lane and gets off the bus in Bargates.
However he is given a ticket saying Castle Lane to Lymington.
I do not know what the fare to Lymington is, but lets say £5 and the fare to Bargates is, again do not know the fare but going to say £1.80. Does this mean that councils get charged the full fare for a complete route from the bus companies for using a bus pass ?
Also which council gets the charge ? No I dont have a bus pass, a little way to go yet but would be nice !!!!!!!!!
