On Tuesday at 12:02 the Mudeford RNLI Inshore Lifeboat was launched after a member of the public called Portland Coastguard to report a WINDSURFER in difficulties in very strong offshore winds off Avon Beach. The Lifeboat crew, quickly on scene, rescued the male windsurfer and delivered him safely ashore, where he was met by Southbourne Coastguard Rescue Officers who made sure that he did not require medical assistance.
