Christchurch Carnival is this Saturday. The procession leaves Stanpit at 3pm and will work its way through Purewell, through the High Street, along Sopers Lane finishing on the Quay. Lets hope the weather is fine !!

I took part in the procession last year and what a wash out !!! It was torrential rain and really windy too !!! What a shame for all the people who put such hard work into organising these carnivals and also how disappointing for the kids that want to take part. But, this year looks promising !! I have just checked the long range forecast and whilst it may not be tropical, the weather is looking fine, so, there should be a good turn out PLUS the organisers have changed their format this year and have made the weekend on the Quay a FREE event after much critisism last year at the charges. I for one, love the carnival and its atmosphere, I can't wait !

So, the Carnival - not as big as previous years but at least the weather was good !
