    Except 2 months ago when I had my very expensive scooter stolen-an oversight of not locking my car door saw a wallet and driving license being stolen 2 days ago and in the same road a stolen bike, a stolen motorbike later found burnt out and a van also broken into . . dont let the feeling of security lead to easy pickings . . I think thats why our road/crescent has currently been targeted!

    Except a couple of years ago when I parked my car on a quite road and went home to my parents for Christmas. I came back to find someone had smashed into my car but hadn't left a note. Naughty, naughty.

    However, this was the one and only incident I ever encountered while living in Christchurch, so yes it is a good safe place to live.
