Police appeal for witnesses to High Street assault

Christchurch Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward after a 17-year-old girl was attacked in the town. Two other girls assaulted her as she tried to board a bus outside Specsavers at around 4pm on Sunday 4th November.

The victim suffered a fractured eye socket and a damaged cheekbone and may require surgery.

Police Constable Bill Nightingall, of Christchurch police, said: "I am appealing for witnesses to this assault to find out exactly what happened.

"We are particularly keen to talk with a woman who stopped to speak to the victim after the incident and who offered to call the police."

Christchurch Police have not arrested anyone in relation to this assault.
