Christmas arrangements from Christchurch Council - Here's a handy list for you to print out giving you all the dates for Christmas Refuse Collection, Council Buildings, Christmas Tree Collections etc.

Parking

Free in Council-run car parks in Christchurch in the run-up to Christmas after 10am from 17 December to 24 December.

Christchurch Civic Offices

Closed from 1pm on Friday 23 December until 8.45am on Wednesday 28 December and closed from 4.45pm on Friday 30 December until 8.45am on Tuesday 3 January.

Christchurch Information Centre in the High Street

Open normal hours (9.30am to 5pm) until 23 December.

Closed from 12.30pm on Saturday 24 December until Wednesday 28 December at 9.30am with normal hours every day after that.

Refuse and recycling collections,

No refuse collections on Monday 26 December 2011.

Extra refuse will be collected on 2 January 2012.

No recycling collections on Monday 26 December 2011, Tuesday 27 December 2011 and Monday 2 January 2012. 

Extra refuse will be collected on the next collection dates which are Monday 9 January 2012, Tuesday 10 January 2012 and Monday 16 January 2012.

Garden Waste Collections

Crried out as normal including when collections fall on bank holidays over the festive season.

Real Christmas Tree Collection

Collected free of charge throughout January 2012 as part of the garden waste service. They should be placed out at the kerbside on the garden waste collection day.

Two Riversmeet Leisure Centre will be open as follows:

Saturday 24 December – open 8am to 3.30pm

Sunday 25 December – closed

Monday 26 December – closed

Tuesday 27 December - open 8am to 9pm

28 to 30 December – normal opening hours

Saturday 31 December – open 8am to 3.30pm

Sunday 1 January – closed

Monday 2 January – open 8am to 9pm

From Tuesday 3 January – normal opening hours

Highcliffe Castle closes for a winter break on 23 December and will reopen on 1 February 2012.
