High demand for the Dorset Waste Partnership's (DWP) 'pay-extra' garden waste disposal service has led to a deadline being imposed for payment. Note the deadline is only in place for people in Christchurch and East Dorset (inc. Wimborne) where the new 'Recycle for Dorset' services are already in place.

The new Recycle for Dorset waste service is proving popular
More than 13,000 households have signed up for the service, which provides a fortnightly collection of green waste from gardens. An annual subscription costs £35 for a 240-litre wheelie bin or £25 for a 120-litre reusable bag.
In order to get the new bins delivered to households, DWP has set a closing date for payments of midnight on Sunday 28th October. The green waste collection service will begin before December.
DwP is recommending online payment as the easiest way to pay, visit: http://www.dorsetforyou.com/gardenwaste to do this, or call 01305 221040 bewtween 8.30am and 5.30pm on weekdays.
If you don't pay by the 28th, then your service will start in March or April 2013, in time for the growing season.
