If you volunteer in Christchurch, your input is requested in Forum

Anyone from Christchurch who volunteers in the community, or is a member of a local organisation that engages with and works with volunteers, is invited to an event being held on Saturday 18 February.

The event, entitled 'Volunteering in Christchurch: New Ideas – New Possibilities', takes place from 10am to 2pm at Christchurch Baptist Church in the aim of the event is to provide a forum for a frank two-way exchange of views on how the volunteer sector supports the local Christchurch community and how this may be developed and improved for the benefit of everyone.

The intention is to communicate volunteering successes of Christchurch Community Partnership, recognising the excellent contribution being made by its many volunteers, and briefly outline its current vision.

It will also facilitate group discussions on how, by working together, Christchurch's immensely valuable resource of volunteers may be developed and inter-organisation communication improved.

Anyone wishing to attend or send a representative should contact Rob Griffith at r.griffith@christchurch.gov.uk giving details of the role they play in either the Partnership or the local organisation they represent.
