Dorset Apple Day Events

Saturday 6th October has been marked Dorset Apple Day although the National Celebration of local orchards and apples is on the 23rd October. Apparently here in Dorset we can't wait any longer and all across the county communities are working hard to lay on some wonderful events.
Pippin Apple Party
Celebrating all things appley. Local foods, drinks, crafts, music, free entry, cooking demonstrations, byo apples to press, and free sampling. Event runs from 11am to 4pm Saturday 6th October. The event is being held at Naish Farm, Stony Lane Holwell, Sherborne, DT9 5LJ.
Autumn Apple and Garden Day
Experts from the Royal Horticultural Society will be available to identify unknown apples. There will be trade stalls, demos, talks, floral displays, childrens competitions,and tractor and trailor rides.
The event is from 10am to 4pm and admission is £4, but children under 16 go free. The Gardens and Animal Park are also open for visitors of this event. The event is being held at Kingston Maurward College, Dorchester, DT2 8PY
Big Green Apple Day
The Family Green Fair and Apple Day will be hosting an array of food, drink, craft stalls, information and demonstrations, have a go at stone carving, archery, bushcraft, green woodwork. Proceeds of the day will go to the Discovery Area and a Community Build of a Saxon Hut for Thorners School & Community Groups & Cluster Schools. The event is being held at Thorners School, School Lane, Litton Cheney, DT2 9AU.
