CHRISTCHURCH Rowing Club took full advantage of the good conditions and punctuated their winter training regime with attendance at inland time trials, referred to as head races over distances ranging from 3,300 metres to 4,800 metres.

The club has been well represented in all levels from J14 to Masters at Reading, Weybridge, Marlow, Kingston-upon-Thames and Henley, with notable performances from Matt Aldridge in J16 and Brigit White in J14 categories earning them pennants.
Crews also raced in the Tideway Pairs Head from Chiswick to Hammersmith. A 'learn to row' course during the half-term break was well attended and has produced the green shoots of future winning crews.
Off the water the Hants and Dorset Rowing Association annual presentation dinner dance was held at the Novotel, Southampton. In addition to the Ladies' Senior Championship and Men's Junior-senior Championship trophies, Christchurch were also awarded the Archie Fraser Memorial Trophy for most successful club at the South Coast Championships to round off the year on a high note and energise crews for the 2012 season.
