Police in Christchurch have appealed for help finding the owner of two rings discovered inside a bag that was bought in the town.
The found rings - look familiar? Give Christchurch Police a call.
An 11 year old girl bought the Cath Kidston bag from Lavender and Bay on Wick Lane last Sunday (19th January 2013). On opening the bag she discovered two rings inside.
Police Constable Dave Williams, of Christchurch police, said: "The young girl was very concerned that the owner of the rings would be upset at their loss and immediately returned to the shop having discovered them.
"The proprietor of the store has no idea how they came to be in the bag and is keen to see them reunited with the person who has lost them."
One of the rings is described as a white gold solitaire style ring with a white stone and the other is a pale yellow wedding band.
PC Dave Williams continued: "I am appealing to hear from anyone who is missing rings of this description and I would also urge anyone who has visited this shop recently to check that they have not lost them."
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 and ask to speak to PC Dave Williams of Christchurch police.
