Calling clarinet and trumpet players

The Christchurch and District new community concert band is progressing well, another fun and productive rehearsal was had last night and the band welcomed yet another two new players into the fold.

Although only into their fourth week of formation, the support for the band in town is fantastic.

The feeling in the band is terrific and now people are getting to know each other its lovely to see new friendships flourishing; there is a real team spirit, it's just wonderful for Christchurch and its district to have such an opportunity as this for its community.

The only areas, at the moment, we could do with some additional members are clarinet and trumpet / cornet players. Because we are a community band, we will never turn any new players away from any section but the band has filled out exceptionally quickly and the clarinets are beginning to feel a little outnumbered !!
